Mood: chill
Music: thursday (so im giving music a second chance)

Today I:
* took a nap in the sun
* took a calc test and possibly passed \:D/
* made a new online friend
* studied antioxidants and learned more chemistry in one day than i have all last semester in organic 1
* cleaned my room and moved old crap to the basement and in doing so...
* found a pair of summer pants that i totally forgot about...its was like shopping for free!

overall i rate the day an 8.576

yesterday was a -2.558
because work sucked and i thought my hip was going to fall out of its socket (im such an old woman!) and i got home and just wanted to go to bed by my roomate had commandeered my computer and took her sweet time in leaving. so i passed the time by getting my laundry from the dryer....only to find that my clothes had been shrunk
thats right
shrunk

(ok ok, enough whining)

so heres something cool:
"And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:1-10

This reminds me of a conversation i had with my dad and his roomate recently. they were trying to convince me of free will, or atleast a mix between that and predestination, however that works. They use the NIV and other versions to support this, and i can see how they do. i mean, i used to do it too! compare the part in bold above to the NIV interpretation of this:
"[GOD] made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression - it is by grace you have been saved."

alright, maybe its just me, but the KJV is so much more powerful than the NIV. it seems so passive, especially on scriptures concerning free will and predestination. and when you take the NIV Bible as a whole that passage just blends in, whereas in the KJV it jumped out at me. im utterly convinced of mans incapability to do anything for himself and this belief started somewhere about the time i started reading KJV, not the say that the KJV has an special powers or anything...

hmmmm, it was also around the time that the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the Truth of salvation as opposed to what mainstream christianity would have you believe about "choice".

coincidence? i think not. :>

God's so good to me [-0<
